This box contains 1kg of bonito flavoured soup stock, or dashi (as it is known in Japanese). Use with miso paste to make miso soup, or with soy sauce and red pepper to make jjigae. Can also be used in soup bases for noodle dishes. Highly versatile, dashi is one of the most essential seasonings used in Japanese cuisine.
