Availability

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you. Please note that we will attempt to deliver substitute lines should selected lines be unavailable unless you request us not to do so. You can also select to have the item removed from your order if you do not wish to accept an alternative product.

Substituted lines will normally be of identical or higher value than the original item ordered. In cases where the replacement item is of differing value, you will be charged the lesser of the two prices. If it is impossible to substitute an item, we will remove the item from the order and deduct the item price from the total order cost accordingly.

If you are unsatisfied with the choice of substitution, please contact us as soon as possible and we will attempt to rectify the problem within reason. Please note that we aim to dispatch your order as soon as possible. We can make alterations to your order up to the point of dispatch, however, once dispatched any changes to your order will have to be made via our standard returns process (below).

Prices

We will make all reasonable efforts to present accurate information but we cannot guarantee the price or our ability to supply any particular item.

Formal formation of a contract and acceptance of your order only occurs once we dispatch your ordered goods from our warehouse. Occasionally our suppliers may increase their prices unexpectedly or there can be import related issues such as delay or extra control at the port health, and this is often something we become aware of only upon ordering stock from them. In the event that this occurs, or in the event of a pricing error howsoever caused, we will check with you to see if you still wish to receive the item at the new price. All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£), and include VAT where applicable.

Japan Centre Group Ltd cannot guarantee that the service will be fault free. Once we have taken the payment for your order and dispatched all the items, we are not able to offer refunds for any discounted items with limited expiry dates.

You will be responsible for all activities and orders that occur or are submitted under your password. Registration

We may occasionally make changes to our terms and conditions. If this concerns you, you are advised to check the current terms and conditions prior to every purchase. Acceptance & Contract

After checking out your shopping, you will receive your Order Reference by email. This is only an acknowledgement of your order and it is not to be intended as a commitment to it.

Once we start processing your order you will receive an email requesting confirmation of the order from you. You will be given the chance to review the products, the quantities and the Best Before Dates (if applicable). Changes can be made at this stage by you or us, depending on stock levels.

After you have confirmed your order, a contract is made between you and us. We will reserve your items and send you a Proforma Invoice with a payment link.

Please note that after your confirmation any changes are not acceptable and cancellation of the order may result in a cancellation fee.

We will dispatch your order once we have confirmed your payment and an Invoice will be issued.

Payment

Please note that for online sales we take payment at the point of dispatch and not at the checkout stage.

We accept payment by bank transfer, a cheque or cash only.  If you have further queries about payment, please contact wholesale@japancentre.com . Japan Centre will not take any responsibility should any extra charged be applied to you by your payment.

Delivery by external courier (DPD/ Parcel Force/ Royal Mail)

All our deliveries are carried out using the external carriers of DPD, Parcel Force or Royal Mail depending on choice. As such we are subject to their terms and conditions.

Once your order has been received by us, we aim to dispatch your goods within 3-5 business days (Mon-Fri). However dispatch is subject to stocking levels, and for certain items (books in particular) there may be a long lead time. In such cases we will contact you for further instruction.

Once we have dispatched your goods, you should normally receive them within the timeframe of the delivery type chosen. However, while we maintain a close relationship with our delivery companies, and will attempt to rectify any delivery problems as soon as reasonably possible, the operation of the delivery companies we use is outside our control. Time of delivery shall not be subject to any contractual obligation, and Japan Centre Group Ltd does not offer any guarantee that your order will arrive within the delivery time-frame chosen. In the event of the delay of delivery of your order or a mistake in the order itself, Japan Centre Group Ltd accepts no liability for any associated expense, loss of profits or other losses incurred whatsoever. Failure to deliver on time will not entitle the customer to terminate their purchase contract with Japan Centre Group Ltd, or refuse delivery. Returns should be made using the instructions below.

Whilst we make every effort to deliver all your goods in the agreed time, we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control.

Delivery will be made to the address specified by you on the completed order form. We reserve the right to charge for any extra carriage costs incurred should the incorrect address by entered on your order. Until dispatch of your order please contact us to amend or add any delivery details.

Wholesale. japancentre. com can only be responsible for delivery to an address that has been registered with Royal Mail. We cannot guarantee delivery to any addresses in-putted that are not registered with Royal Mail.

Refunds and Returns

If your order arrives damaged or something is missing, please take pictures and note the details (quantity, name of items, etc) and report to us within 7 days of receiving the items.

Short Shelf Life Items

If you choose to wait for any out of stock items from your order to come back in stock, please note that any limited expiry date items in this order will automatically be removed.

If your order contains short shelf life items, you have agreed to accept responsibility for taking into consideration processing and delivery times and that these items therefore may arrive with you having exceeded the shelf life dates. We will not be liable in these instances.

Returns Instructions

Items supplied to customers should be returned in their original packaging to:

Please make sure you contact us before returning any item. Any item returned without our knowledge will be refused.

Please also note that the items remain your property until we have received them. You are therefore responsible for your goods while they are in transit to us. For your own protection we recommend using a secure recorded delivery method such as Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Provided the conditions above are met Japan Centre Group Ltd will refund the item(s) and postage where applicable.

Please note that returns are accepted at the discretion of the Japan Centre Group Ltd. If any goods are returned which do not adhere to the above policy, then we reserve the right to impose a charge proportionate with the costs of processing the items re-sale. Refunds will be given in the same tender type as the original payment.

Please allow 28 days (in addition to the delivery time) for the return and refund to be processed.

Miscellaneous

You may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these terms and conditions.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

If you breach these terms and conditions and Japan Centre Group Ltd ignores this, Japan Centre Group Ltd will still be entitled to use its rights and remedies at a later date or in any other situation where you breach the terms and conditions.

Japan Centre Group Ltd shall not be responsible for any breach of these terms and conditions caused by circumstances beyond its control.

A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have no right under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these terms and conditions but this shall not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act.

Item Shelf Life

Please note that we aim to send items with a shelf life of 1 month minimum, however exceptions do occur.

Chilled items must be consumed within a couple of days receipt.

Wholesale Pre-Order Terms & Conditions

• ETA (estimate time of arrival) is a guide line of arrival time at the port. It can then take a further 1-3 weeks or more to be cleared at customs. Therefore Japan Centre Group cannot guarantee exact delivery date and cannot be held responsible for any unexpected delay caused by logistics.

• After we (Japan Centre Group) have placed an order, there could be cancellations of certain items by the manufacturers. We will inform customers of any change but cannot amend orders after the Cut Off Date (date is given at each Pre-Order).  

• The shelf life of each product shown in the pre-order list is intended as a guide line and it may vary depending on availability from each manufactures. It usually takes around 3 months for an order to be delivered to the UK from Japan. Therefore Japan Centre Group cannot guarantee the exact shelf life at the time of delivery. For example: 12 month of shelf life item may have 8 month left at the time of delivery.

• A 50% of Pre-Order total value (excluded VAT) is required as deposit. In order to confirm and finalise the order, the deposit MUST be paid before the Cut Off Date.  

• The Deposit amount will then be taken out from the final invoice at the time of delivery. The Deposit value will not be refundable after the 'Cut Off Date'.

• Minimum order amount for Pre-Orders is £500.
