Providers of fresh, distinctive sake to the Japanese Imperial Household for over 100 years, Sakari delivers a sublime palate of fruity refreshment with this rich junmai ginjo sake. Brewed in Nishinomiya, this sake benefits from the natural, high-grade quality of local Yamada Nishiki rice, fermented and distilled in the mineral rich waters of Mount Rokko to produce medium-bodied umami notes of citrus. Polished to 55% their size, the rice grains brewed within this junmai ginjo offer a fuller experience of their delicately sweet flavours, expertly drawn out by Sakari's own combination of cultivated yeasts. Best enjoyed chilled, this sake pairs well with umami rich foods such as miso and dashi stock, whilst also being a richer complement to lighter seafood and chicken dishes.
