A captivating and flavoursome shochu that is not to be missed! Gekkeikan Bizan (meaning ‘Beautiful Mountain’) Sweet Potato Shochu is made by carefully fermenting steamed sweet potatoes with rice koji (the culture used to make Japanese alcohols) and slowly distilling and aging it over low temperatures. This results in a fruity but dry, lightish bouquet with spicy and umami flavours. Try this shochu with strong flavoured foods such as rich stir frys and foods with miso.
