These exquisite packages of Japanese tea are of the highest quality. Imported from Japan by air to Japan Centre to make sure that it is as fresh as possible, we use these teas in our own restaurant and even sell them to the Japanese Embassy here in London. This tea is premium Gyokuro, Japan's finest green tea treasured by the Japanese for many centuries. It is a bright jade green colour and has a delicate sweet fragrant flavour. The Japanese go to great lengths to make sure the leaves are of the finest quality, even shading them from harsh direct sunlight to intensify the green colour of the leaves and sweetness of taste. Like other teas it is rich in antioxidants called polyphenols. It is said that these help prevent cancer, keep the heart healthy and aid general well-being.
